TV On The Radio @ Brooklyn Masonic Temple, 14 Oct 2008

A fantastic performance from my current favorite band (Dear Science kills), seriously marred by appallingly muddy, hollow, boomy live sound. My obvious affection for the Brooklyn Masonic Temple notwithstanding, this is really not a good place to see live rock 'n roll.

What time did TVotR start? Opener as well?

Dirtbombs hit around 9 PM, TVOTR hit around 10:25 PM.

Thank you DJA

I just got "Dear Science". Is it just me, or have they become something of a funk band? sort of

Dear Science definitely foregrounds the funk/psychedelic soul influences that had previously been buried deep in the production. Also, it makes Sasha Frere-Jones's failure to deal with them in that infamous "unbearable whiteness of indie rock" article seem like even more of a lame cop-out.
