Late night eBaying is dangerous.
UPDATE: Holy shit, y'all. Have youl heard Robert Fripp's playing on the alternate take of "Life During Wartime"? I feel less guilty already.

I think it's a thing of beauty.

It is beautiful design. I just wish it was a bit more functional -- once you remove the wrapper, you notice that the CD spines are blank -- which, I guess, makes the brick look cooler but makes it a real pain in the ass to find the disc you want. Also, the CD backs are blank, too, so if you want the track listings, you have to go digging in the booklets -- which are also encumbered with these annoying loose postcard-type things featuring reproductions of artwork from the "What The Songs Look Like Exhibit." I don't want to just throw them all away, but there's no place to store them where they don't get in the way.
On the other hand, the sound restoration is glorious. I don't have a 5.1 system so I can't comment on the surround mixes, but the new stereo masters are killing. Also, the live video clips on the DVD sides are great fun.
