I have to say she ruins the song. Instead of somewhat somber confessional, that song sounds like a bored hum. Maybe it's the quality of recording. Shouldn't she be perfect doing ocean of noise? a beautiful simple melody and crisp guitar line.
I like Calexico's rendition, btw.
